The owner of the Hamburg-based company was discovered to be operating a double book-keeping system that denied the crew of wages worth $230,000.

ITF Inspector Tommy Molloy, who discovered the scheme of the company. The company admitted to fraud allegations and agreed to pay the owed wages to the crew according to their contracts of agreement.

Molloy blew the whistle after discovering another book that was signed mistakably by an office girl.

Molloy supervised the payment of the overdue wages last October 4 but was suspicious of the “overbearing presence” of a crewing agent from Manila.  Molloy re-boarded the vessel with Liverpool Port Police and found that the payment was taken back from the crew.
